Munsell Advancing and Receding Colors

I gathered chips from previous charts to make this. I can clearly see how the warm colors are brought closer while the cool colors appear farther away, just as the textbook said, demonstrated by this quote from the book: "When cool colors are placed next to or surrounding warm colors, the warm appear to be closer to the viewer (to advance) whereas the cool hues appear farther away (to recede).

In this exercise, I followed the instructions and noticed that when I stared at the colors, they did indeed begin to turn gray. I also noted the afterimage of the colors and how it made them appear more vivid and I found that interesting because that's something I did not know before.
